About the Triangle Region

How does the Triangle Region Denmark work?

In our secretariat in Kolding, we have 15 employees with various professional competencies. We work on projects supported by regional funds and EU funds. Visit our project page to get an overview of current projects.

In addition to fund money, the Triangle Region Denmark is financed by the seven municipalities we work for.

We coordinate and manage the political interests of our municipalities in our public affairs department. The Triangle Region Denmark speaks with great emphasis at Christiansborg when we represent 7 united municipalities with a strong mandate and more than 426,000 inhabitants behind us. Visit our PA page to read more about interest representation.

Our analysis department ensures a data basis we can act on when we either visit Christiansborg or work on concrete projects or applications for upcoming projects. Visit our analysis page to see relevant analyses of employment, sustainability, and other facts.

What do we collaborate on?

  • We create a joint municipal plan and collaborate on physical planning across municipal boundaries -to create equal conditions for citizens and businesses, avoid duplicate work, and utilize each other's core competencies.
  • We collaborate on energy and climate - to promote the green transition, strengthen supply security, and ensure the necessary energy infrastructure.
  • We focus on our common strengths: industry, transport/logistics, and energy/PtX-to strengthen competencies, innovation, green transition, and competitiveness in the Triangle Region.
  • We safeguard our common interests together -to strengthen our impact and promote state investments in infrastructure.

What do we use our common resources for?

  • Secretariat service for the board and a number of cross-municipal collaborations among, among others, municipal directors, technical directors, and business directors.
  • Secretariat service for DIMA, where job centers, business offices, educational institutions, industry, and trade unions collaborate on competent labor for the industry.
  • Analyses and strategy proposals that support the common strengths: industry, transport/logistics, and energy/PtX (direct business-oriented initiatives are handled by the business promotion system).
  • Development, funding, and implementation of strategic projects.
  • Project management of the joint municipal plan and facilitation of planning and climate collaboration, including strategic energy planning in dialogue with TEA.
  • Joint interest representation, PR, and communication about the Triangle Region, including Industry Day.
