The Triangle Region is an area of growth. It requires workforce and the right competencies to continue the growth.

The competition to attract and retain attractive workforce is great - both in Denmark and internationally. Therefore, the municipalities in the Triangle Region cooperate to ensure workforce and competencies for the companies.

Need for well-educated workforce in the Triangle Region

Population forecasts show that in the future there will be fewer people of working age. Therefore, it is even more important that we ensure that the young people in the area receive a good education. In the Triangle Region, we have a wide range of good educations, both youth educations and educations at a higher level. In the Triangle Region, we cooperate with local educational institutions to increase the number of young people taking an education in the Triangle Region. Young people who educate themselves in the area are more likely to settle and find work in a company in the Triangle Region.

International workforce is crucial for growth

In the last 10 years, foreign workforce has accounted for about half of the employment growth in the Triangle Region. At the same time, the Triangle Region has the second highest share of international workforce in Denmark - only surpassed by the Capital Region. In other words, international workforce has been crucial for growth in the Triangle Region. In the industry, foreign workforce is even more important. Looking into the crystal ball, international workforce will not become less important in the coming years. International workforce is therefore an important focus for cooperation in the Triangle Region.

High demand for green and technical competencies

The Triangle Region is Denmark’s Production Center with the largest concentration of industrial jobs in Denmark. The high concentration of industry in the area means that there is a particularly great need for digital, technical, and green competencies. This applies both to skilled trades competencies and competencies from higher educations. At the same time, it is this type of competencies that must help ensure the green transition in the Triangle Region. The municipalities in the Triangle Region therefore have a special focus on securing this type of competencies for the area.
