Collaboration with Municipal Groups
Collaboration with municipal groups creates a strong green agenda
In the Triangle Region, we work closely with the municipalities on climate, planning, and energy. The collaboration is based on fixed groups, where we meet with technical directors, climate managers, planning managers, and the municipal planning group. Here we address cross-municipal tasks where joint solutions are necessary because climate, energy, and resources do not stop at municipal borders.
In the planning area, we collaborate, among other things, on a joint municipal plan, which has just been out for public consultation. Over the summer, the plan will be politically processed in the municipalities. At the same time, we are starting work on a new planning strategy, where we jointly discuss which topics and themes are important across the board and how we can strengthen the overall planning cooperation in the area.
Climate and energy as well as green tripartite
Within the climate and energy area, we especially work with strategic energy and resource planning, where particularly Power-to-X (PtX) and water as a resource are in focus. Here, the technical directors and climate managers collaborate to find joint solutions, and a special project group has been established to investigate how we best handle the water resource. The goal is to support the large water-consuming companies and PtX projects of the future – while ensuring access to drinking water for citizens and protecting the environment.
A recurring theme, both in the planning work and climate efforts, is working with the green tripartite. Here, the groups use each other to spar, share knowledge, and coordinate, so we stand stronger together on the green agenda.
Technical water and green mobility
In addition to the fixed groups, we run several working groups, including on technical water and on coherent green mobility. The working groups create opportunities for knowledge sharing and development of joint initiatives, and the groups always set their own agenda. The themes evolve continuously in line with the municipalities’ current focus and needs, which makes the collaboration dynamic and flexible. In this way, we can quickly respond to new challenges and opportunities that arise and support the green transition throughout the area.
