Technology and Innovation Must Strengthen Competitiveness
Technology and innovation are crucial for the continued competitiveness of the Triangle Region. Therefore, we work to ensure better access to knowledge and technology for the business community.
Although the Triangle Region has more industrial jobs than the country's three largest cities combined, most knowledge and innovation facilities are located in the university cities. To maintain the position as Denmark's Production Center, a targeted effort is required for better access to technology and innovation.
Focus on Innovation Power
We work to increase companies' awareness of technological offerings in collaboration with business offices and hubs. At the same time, we develop knowledge and innovation facilities in the Triangle Region, including through cooperation with local knowledge centers and educational institutions. A closer interaction between knowledge centers, GTS institutes, and national clusters is central to strengthening companies' competitiveness and securing local facilities.
Tradition for Public-Private Partnerships
In the Triangle Region, we have strong traditions for collaboration between companies, public actors, and educational environments. This is a major part of the driving force behind progress and renewal in the business community in the Triangle Region.
Close Interaction with the National Business Clusters
The Triangle Region Denmark works purposefully to strengthen cooperation with the new national business clusters, which connect companies and knowledge institutions within Denmark's areas of strength.
With a focus on industry, transport, and logistics, we are in dialogue with 7 of the 10 relevant clusters. Many companies face changes such as advanced technology, digitalization, sustainable business models, and optimization of their supply chain to remain competitive.
Our ambition is for the Triangle Region to become an innovation laboratory where clusters collaborate for the benefit of companies.
GTS Institutes in the Triangle Region
The Triangle Region houses three GTS departments: Force Technology in Vejen, DBI in Fredericia, and the Danish Technological Institute in Sønder Stenderup. We work to strengthen these and attract new departments to increase companies' technological and innovative capacity.
