In 2024, the GDP per capita in the Triangle Region was DKK 436,000 in 2020 prices. This is the second highest among the metropolitan areas in Denmark, only surpassed by the Capital Region.
GDP per capita is therefore high in the Triangle Region, which is related to the strong industries and the high productivity in the area.
We also see an increase in GDP per capita in the last year. In other words, the Triangle Region contributes significantly to value creation and growth in the entire Danish society.
The Triangle Region grows
GDP per capita in the Triangle Region has grown by an average of 1.3% per year over the past 10 years. This is only surpassed by the Capital Region (2.4%).
There is growth in GDP per capita in the Triangle Region in the last year, which exceeds the Aarhus and Odense Regions. However, it is below the Capital and Aalborg Regions.
It should be noted that Statistics Denmark has made large corrections to the GDP statistics of recent years, especially for the utilities sector, which is relatively significant in the Triangle Region. Therefore, there is relatively high uncertainty associated with the recent years' data.

About Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
GDP is a measure of a country's total value added and is calculated as the production value at market prices minus the total value of consumption in production at purchaser prices. The gross domestic product can also be calculated from the income side as wages of employees plus profits from production and mixed income plus production taxes, net. Thus, GDP is also a measure of the country's total income and wealth.
