Sustainability Barometer Triangle Region
This is the first time that the Sustainability Barometer Triangle Region sees the light of day – a barometer that gives us the opportunity to gain a deeper insight into companies' work with sustainability. How is it really going? How much focus is there on sustainability? And how do companies view the opportunities and challenges of running a more sustainable business?
In the Triangle Region, we are strong especially in industry and transport & logistics – with many employees and strong companies. But heavy industry and transport are some of the sectors that emit the most CO2 in Denmark, and which are met with demands to reduce their climate impact. If we want to continue to have strong positions within industry and transport & logistics in the Triangle Region, it is therefore a necessary task to get the sustainable transition underway.
The Sustainability Barometer shows that in many companies – and especially the smaller companies – there is limited focus on sustainability. If we are to succeed with the green transition, it is therefore important that we also include these companies. There is therefore a need to work broadly with sustainability and with the complexity of the transition that companies face. It is essential that we collaborate across the ecosystem to create good conditions. There is a need for all of us to contribute to the sustainability agenda, including municipalities, business organizations, and knowledge actors.
With the Sustainability Barometer in hand, we have a good starting point to create dialogue about what we should collaborate on and not least to be able to follow the development towards a greener Triangle Region.
