Who is the Little Belt Committee (Lillebæltskomitéen)?

The Little Belt Committee is a public-private partnership working to future-proof the connection across the Little Belt through the establishment of a parallel link — a third Little Belt crossing running parallel to the New Little Belt Bridge.

The committee therefore works to ensure that the infrastructure will continue to support companies’ ability to create growth and attract labour in the future.

Why a Little Belt Committee?

Ultimately, a parallel link must be approved by the Danish Parliament. It is therefore important that municipalities, businesses and other stakeholders join forces to create an organisation strong enough to be heard at Christiansborg.

With backing from the region’s business community and support from a number of municipalities and other stakeholders, The Little Belt Committee aims to be an influential voice in the national debate.

At the same time, the committee will help collect, process and communicate knowledge about a parallel link so that all decisions are made on a well-informed basis.
