The green solutions of the future start in the classroom

If we are to succeed with the green transition, we need more young people who choose to work with technology, natural sciences, and sustainable solutions. This applies not only globally – but very much also locally here in the Triangle Region, where many of our companies need technical and scientific competencies to contribute to climate goals and maintain competitiveness.

Therefore, the project HTX – Green STEM voices for a sustainable future brings together primary schools, HTX educations, and UU counselors around a common goal: to open young people's eyes to the opportunities in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and show how they can help create concrete solutions to the world’s – and the Triangle Region’s – challenges.

Kickoff workshop April 7, 2025

Green STEM voices were officially launched Monday, April 7, 2025, at a kickoff workshop at the Triangle Region Denmark.

Primary school teachers, school leaders, HTX teachers, HTX principals, UU counselors from Billund, Vejle, Haderslev, and Kolding municipalities gathered to start working on developing ideas for exciting teaching courses involving visits to the local HTX educations.

Søren Stochholm from Worldperfect gave a presentation on the climate crisis, pathways to green transition, and how to inspire lower secondary students to work with sustainability in teaching.

The project HTX - Green STEM voices for a sustainable future is funded by the Region of Southern Denmark’s education fund and runs for three years from January 2025.
