Labor from other areas is important for the Triangle Region

In 2024, there were over 54,000 people who worked in the Triangle Region but lived outside the Triangle Region (in-commuters). In 2024, this was 23% of the nearly 236,000 employed in the Triangle Region who lived in a municipality outside the Triangle Region. On top of that, there are over 49,000 people who commute internally within the Triangle Region - that is, who live in one municipality but work in another municipality. In total, around 44% of the workforce in the Triangle Region are thus commuters who depend on the good infrastructure in the area to get to and from their work.

In the last 10 years, commuting to and from the Triangle Region has increased significantly and continues to rise in 2024 - which shows that the workforce in the area is very mobile. In all these years, there have also been more people commuting to the Triangle Region than out of it. This indicates that there are many attractive jobs in the Triangle Region and that the area helps create employment for citizens in the rest of Denmark.
